I just wanted to share a couple pictures of one of my latest projects. I've known how to crochet for some time now but this is the first that I've attempted to make anything wearable. Shown here is the third halter set I've made this summer. Aubrey loves them! I'm now working on a poncho for this fall. I'm having a bit of a problem with the sizing but I'm sure I'll get it figured out soon!

Crochet is a great way to spend my lunch breaks while I'm at work. I usually go to a park and sit and work on a project during the hour I have off at noon. It is a great way to relax and still get something accomplished!

We had an awesome time on our vacation this past week. We packed up the SUV's on Friday, June 29th for an overnight drive. Leaving the house at 5 PM we drove thru to Estes Park, Colorado. Here Aubrey and Maddie are latched in and set for a long drive. We took this trip with our friends Jamie and Joni Temple and their three kids, Ashton, Maddie and Caden.

We couldn't check into our cabin until 3 PM on Saturday so we spent the day exploring a bit of Rocky Mountain National Park. Chuck and I have been there a bagillion times but we are always in awe each and everytime we visit.

Our first full day we spent in RMNP driving up Old Fall River Road. Here is a family shot at Chasm Falls along the way.

One of the highlights of the day was the snow! On Old Fall River Road we were lucky enough to come across lots of snow for this time of year! The kids LOVED it! We parked the car and hiked off the beaten path to find us our own private patch to play in. It was such a fun time that I think we could have played there all day.

Another favorite spot along Trail Ridge that we like to go to in Rock Cut. It is a wide open space and you feel like you are on top of the world! It is breathtaking.

We have returned from our vacation to the Rockies. Just a sneak peek. I'll add more photos within the next few days.
